Why does function q_view($q_view) checks if (!empty($q_view))?

   if (!empty($q_view)) {

Why do we check if q_view is not empty? I cannot think of any scenario where it is not empty, as question view needs to have question content?

I think you are right, but check what happens when a question is being edited!
