I don't know how you do it, but sometimes I comment on a question and get 10 follow-up emails (comments from others), that I do not want.

In other words, I forgot to uncheck "E-mail me if a comment is added after mine."

How I do it for a while already: I find my comment, click on edit, uncheck the e-mail notification.

Would it not be more userfriendly to add a tiny URL in the end of the notification email to let the user unsubscribe per click?

Editing the post and unchecking the box is the only way currently. I agree it's quite annoying!

Such a catch-22...I want to comment on this question, but what if I forget to uncheck the box?!?

If it is too difficult to use unsubscribe links for threads we could also add a button somewhere on the according site. But the link within the email would be the easiest solution, of course.

You can unsubcribe any time through the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email. when clicking on the link, your standard browser will open on the paper.li page and in a green banner on the top you will read "your subscription has been deleted".

nope, in v1.5.4 at least, ** notifications on Q/A/C ** do not provide such an unsubscribe link. If so, I had not asked the question ;)
