On site notifications

I'm not able to follow my notifications like, any one upvote my question or comment etc.

Why there is no on site plugin integration for this site ? On site notifications plugin is much needed for this site.

 

Is it because of not free plugin ? or someother reason ?

For clarity (b/c I for one misunderstood the question): the OP means why question2answer.org/qa doesn't use the notification plugin.
