not a question but a answer

Hi,

I would like to add answer to my site without any question, can this be done without creating a question.

What I mean is that when someone add a question they will be ask if this question required a answer or this is the answer.

No, there is no way to do that. All answers must be on questions.

But you can allow users to answer their own questions, there's an option for that in the admin.

Another possibility (advanced) would be to write a plugin that adds an extra box to the Ask page where they can put in an answer without having to save the question first. Then the plugin would add the answer to the question that's created.

No, I think it's best kept to a plugin rather than core functionality.

I thought same thing with you. My idea is to give post attribute (type) to the first post. Since I often reported as a site owner, I use very well this feature. Rather, most of my post is not a question. Depending on the idea, you will be able to realize it with plugin without changing the core. You will be able to understand details if you look at my site.
