You can try to find the user in the database (eg with phpMyAdmin).

Look in the qa_users table for a blank "handle" field, then edit that user to put a visible name back.

If you can't find the user you might need to look in qa_posts for a question they asked, note the userid from that then look up that userid in qa_users.
