Email notification: point to the update

Email notifications do not have the url for the updated information.  Is there a plugin/hack to get that?

Yes, it does that.  What I need is what has been updated.  If you have a long thread, you have to go searching for the updates.  Like Stack Exchange, it would be nice to have an update url in the email, and then when you click, there is a brief yellow highlighting of the updated info.
