Configuring email through smtp

i want to know detailed steps to setup email messages in Question2Answer

configure qa-class.phpmailer.php
- at least: $Host, $Port, $Helo, $Username and $Password
set external emailer = true in qa-config.php

Is no other way to stop sending email to spam folder??? i mean when any body registered to my site http://answer.chattk.com then conformation and others email go to spam folder of gmail, yahoo etc. whyy???

Q2A has SMTP configuration in admin UI. Didn't that work fro you?
