how can i add html on the first page only?

I am trying to pot some HTML to my very first page, but don't want it should be displayed on every question page.

I tried adding HTML to the theme PHP but as expected it displays on every page.

Any help? Where can I find the core homepage so I can add it there?

In the administration center, section Layout, select "Custom content in home page instead of Q&A."

Alternatively you could use the Widget Anywhere plugin, if you want custom content displayed alongside the Q&A.

But I don't want it should be on the outside of the software, basically, I am looking for the core file to add some HTML before this whole system starts.
