resizing users avatar to square

Question

Q2A allows users to add a profile picture of their own dimensions.

But, I want the users avatar to be resized to square though they have uploaded images with any other dimensions in their profiles.

What changes should I make to the source code?

I can provide any information if required?

Unfortunately cropping images isn't a core feature on Q2A yet. But yes, it would be nice to have this implemented in the future.

Although you could suggest your users to preferably upload square images for their avatars, or do a bit of CSS and JS wizardry like I do on my themes to achieve this same result. ^{Cropping images with CSS}
