Install page doesn't launch. Browser tries to download index.php

Hi.

I have an authentication script that connects mediawiki to question2answer and I used MAMP and WAMP to test and everything has gone fine. I am now trying to install Question2Answer on my web server and when I point the web url to the respective directory my browser tries to download the index.php file instead of launching the install page or giving me the warning that I need to change the config file settings.

Well, this sounds like a webserver configuration problem rather than a Q2A problem!

When you download the page, what is in the file? Is it simple HTML, or a lot of PHP code?

I posted this question It was a problem with my servers php enabling interface. It's not a question2answer problem. Mod should delete.
