On Site Notifications bubble not opening in 1.8.0 beta 1

Question

The bubble is showing with updates but when I click on the bubble nothing happens. This was working fine in 1.7.3. Any ideas?

What exactly can't you click? The bubble is not clickable, just the links in it are.

I have now resolved this problem. For some reason I hadn't copied over the qa-content folder which holds all the javascipt files. These have been updated favouring a global js file. Once I copied over this folder from 1.8.0 beta 1 the notifications box now opens.
