How to sort users based on weekly contribution (points) ?

Question

Giving the fact that users are sorted by absolute score. New users has no /little chance to make it to the top witch i think is frustrating. it would be better if we could sort users by theire weekly contribution as well. (see stackoverflow for example). theorically i see it done with a cronjob witch will at every sundy ( for exemple) compare users points with old ones ( last week), calculate the difference and handle this information to a page. is anyone interested in developping such plugin ? (free or paid)

I think there is a plugin for this Best-Users-Pro. I think this can do the job for you and if not then you can ask dev of this plugin to extend its capability.
