Where is the .htaccess file? How can I add this file?

It should be in there by default. But if you are using the Linux or Mac operating systems, the file may be hidden and you'll need to set whatever option you need to show hidden files. You should be able to see it with your FTP program so just make sure it's uploaded.

I guess you are probably using cpanel. When you click on `File Manager` button you could choose to show hidden files or not (default is not)
