how much time need the 1.6 last release? and how to upgrade

Question

• i want to create a custom theme for my q&a website, so i will know how much time need the last release of version 1.6. 
• have the 1.6 version another database structure or new field ? 
• is the notification like facebook in 1.6 integrated? 
• why q2a not use OOP programming + MVC ? i found the current syntax and core hard to learn example: qa_db_full_child_posts_selectspec , qa_db_select_with_pending(qa_db_popular_tags_selectspec($start, qa_opt_if_loaded('page_size_tags')));

The quality of program which Gideon makes is very good. He has surely spent much time on the test. I am also waiting eagerly for V1.6 from the bottom of my heart.

Well that I don't know @amiraldo1. I've seen around two major updates and the older layouts can still be used. My bet is you won't have a lot of problem adapting to the new update.

Probably May. As previously, upgrading will be completely smooth and there should be no backwards compatibility issues with themes, plugins, etc...
