Since Q2A 1.6 is fast approaching, I’ve updated my plugin to fully support the new version. While I was at it, I went ahead and added a new “Moderate questions, answers and comments that contain links” option. When enabled, this will further protect your Q2A site from spammers. (Big thanks to VdoubleE for all the beta testing!)

If you are using Q2A 1.5.4, you will need to download this version : http://qcybb.com/files/Q2A-Akismet-Plugin.zip

Installation instructions and other information can be found here : http://qcybb.com/question2answer-akismet-plugin/

I install the plugin, and type in the key.But I can't see any effect.
The content of my test post is "11111111111111111111111",isn't spam?
And can it used for chinese words?

I haven't tested it yet, but it looks like a very useful plugin. I have experienced severe spam sign ups in the recent weeks and it will only be a matter of time until these spam accounts will submit posts to my site.

Thank you!

For WordPress there are seperate plugins for signup spam, not sure if this will help you with that.

For wpmudev Q&A they recommend http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/ to use with their plugin. But obviously only for wordpress.
Thanks, didn't know about this plugin. A similar plugin would obviously be quite great for Q2A, too.
