don't let google to catch all "/users" links

hi all

When i search on google , it shows me links of my users pages.but I don't want to google shows them.

I put disallow url in my robots.txt but , doesn't  work!

what should i do?

All the users pages are at /user/Username so you should put this in your robots.txt:

 

User-agent: *
Disallow: /user/

Or if your Q2A installation is in a subfolder like example.com/qa/ put this:

 

User-agent: *
Disallow: /qa/user/

also, make sure to untick the users in your sitemap or you'll get errors on webmaster tools
