Is there a system to add a certain amount (more or less than usual) points when answering in a certain category?

I don't think so.  The points system is same across all categories.

Any reason you would want that?

I think it is good to have same points system.  It won't be fair for those whose expertise lies in the lower-point-system-category.

Admin do have an option to provide 'bonus points' to individual users.
