We are proud to announce that we have officially launched a Discord server for Question2Answer!

TL;DR: We’re on Discord. Come join us!

What is Discord?

Discord is the easiest way to communicate over text, voice and video. You can chat, hang out, and stay close with your friends and communities.

If you’re familiar with it, you know it’s primary audience is gamers. It’s integrated into a lot of games and platforms directly as a way for communities/guilds/clans to chat. What you may not know is that they’ve been working on building up their secondary audience: developers.
They have loads of features, and many of them are dev-focused.

Channel Categories

We can group up channels into categories, allowing us to stay organized. Designate topics for channels and even create collab rooms.

Q2A Support Chat Rooms

Sometimes comments get too long trying to figure out what the OP is asking, what the problem is, or asking for more information to help solve their problem. So when this happens, there's 2 support channels in which you can link and invite users to "Continue this discussion here" before formulating an answer.

Support room #1 - https://discord.gg/JeA75U8
Support room #2 - https://discord.gg/njjrAah

Named Roles

We can call out different roles for the users in Discord. Like Core Team, Support Heroes, and so on.

Getting the Most out of Discord

Here are some tips we found to get the most out of Discord.

Chose your theme

Discord has the option to choose between using a light or dark color theme.
Navigate to - User Settings and under Appearance you have your choice of themes, font size, and all that stuff.

Code Block Syntax Highlighting

Discord supports specific-language syntax highlighting, like the plugin Markdown Editor by @Scott, which is pretty cool.
You can check a few examples on how to use Markdown syntax here, or just highlight your code or text to make the option to format texts pop out.

Download the Desktop/Mobile apps or use Browser

Discord has a normal website browser version but also has native apps for a better experience. Download them here.

In closing…

Come join us in Discord, if you want. We're waiting for you.
