closed why are the confirmation and password reset emails coming from a different sender?

I've recently enabled SMTP to send out emails. Since then, I noticed that email confirmation emails are sent using the SMTP server, but the password reset ones are still sent using PHPMailer. Any clues?

Q2A version: 1.8.3

My bad, after a second look at the headers it is indeed using the SMTP server.
