After doing a bit of research it is clear that to get good traffic from Google, AMP is a must now. Making AMP plugin is not straightforward and will require continuous maintenance too. So, I'm thinking of making a group of people interested in this and then make/hire a developer team. Please comment if you are interested and how much you can spend on this project.
