Nopes. It was discussed earlier but since language for content cannot be changed anyway no one tried this I guess.

But if users could change the main language we could create a category for that specific language we users would search content only in that category and subcategory would be the main category. Just lookibg for a way to work around

That can be done but for simplicity why not separate sub domains? Just use one q2A source directory and create soft links to it for all the subdomains. Each subdomain can use it's own language.

Can you elaborate a bit more on this ? How would we proceed to do so ?

With categories for different languages, it looks better than subdomains. multilanguage somehow needs to be implemented, everyone wants it, but no one can do it, unfortunately ...
