Spammers able to register and post, without the posts showing on the site

Question

So I had 3 spammers register, and they were able to make posts on the site, but the posts didnt show up on the front page (or anywhere else I could find). The only way I even knew about the posts was I looked at their usernames as admin, and saw the posts.

First off, how is this even possible? And how do you correct it?

I figured it out, the posts were actually going into moderation because I had it set to moderate anyone under a certain amount of points :D

Moderation is the way to keep spammers away! I get at least 4-5 spam comments every week. Thank god for moderation!
