Meta description - markdown editor

I recently installed markdown editor:

and I have problem with meta description: Q2A creates me this meta description:

<meta name="description" content="What does **crore** mean? What is the definition of **crore**?">
How can I generate correct text without any markups? 

Example:
<meta name="description" content="What does crore mean? What is the definition of crore?">

Also I do see below error when I'm using php 5.6 on server for this plugin. It is not allowing me to enable plugin.

Disabled - requires PHP 5.4 or later
