We have a sensible sender email address and notifications are being sent should someone answer a question you posted however the new registration email confirmation is not being recieved or when we try to test the forget password email.

have you set email address at below field?

admin->emails->Sender address for all administrative messages:

Many thanks for your response, a sender address has been set for all administrative emails. It is still baffling me this one!

I also have the same problem...
