How to add meta description to my website.When someone search my site on google it shows

There are two options under Admin > Layout.

  1. "Include <meta> description for home page" - adds a meta description to the home page only.
  2. "Custom HTML in <head> section of every page" - you can add the meta tag yourself (the actual HTML), and it will be shown on all pages.
Note that having the same meta description on all pages is a bad idea and search engines will probably just ignore it.

Not sure how to explain it better. You can do either #1 or #2 option above.

The first one will add a meta description for the home page. Here you put the text, no HTML.
The second one will add a meta description to all pages. Here you need to put the actual HTML for a meta tag.
