Emails not being sent out after answer given

Question

Hi,

Great system :) We noticed people were taking ages to reply to an answer. It seems for some reason that the "question answered" emails are not getting sent out. We have it ticked in the "Emails" part of the config, and its going out via sendmail (not SMTP)

The admin emails get sent out ok - it just seems to be the user ones.

Any suggestions as to what to check?

Not sure if its important - but we are using v1.4 of the SnowFlat theme.

Is your server able to send other emails for eg. forgot password email , email confirmation email . Please check that too . If that have also issue you need to check with your hosting provider regarding this . Most likely I can say this might not be an issue with q2a .

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, the other emails seem fine (as well as the admin ones). Literally just seems to be the one that lets you know someone has replied :/

Then you need to check if any plugin is using the 'a_post' event .

For that you can search the a_post on qa-plugins folder . If you found anything then disable that plugin and try again .

All these are core plugins so I am pretty sure that they will not cause any issue .

Can you check your log file for any errors . If you are getting any error put it here

Hi,

I totally forgot (neglected to mention), that we are using the qa-external-users.php system to log users in. I've uploaded the contents of that file here (minus all the comments, to keep the size down ;)): http://pastebin.com/F2m9rjLZ

Maybe I missed something in one of those functions, to handle the emailing side of things?
