How to insert code on question or answer?

I have a question to answer site. It is programming related. When someone ask any question he may need to put code (any programming language) to his question's description. And when answering the question, user may need to insert source code to his answer.
How to add code (not as plain text) into question or answer?

I think you are expected to add a plugin http://ckeditor.com/addon/codesnippet
Then a tool button to point to it.
Or just enter the raw pre/code HTML in the source code of the editor.

With my new editor you will be able to enter this with no hassle. HTML markup will be auto entitized.
It'll be developer-friendly.
