Disable method of Plugin

Question

I understood that I can disable Plugin by deleting Plugin folder under the qa-plugin folder, but If possible, please teach disable method of Plugin in condition to have left Plugin folder.

There isn't yet an official method for disabling plugins, apart from removing the plugin directory. But another way is to rename qa-plugin.php in the directory to something different, like qa-plug-disabled.php - that will stop the plugin being detected and run.
