Search needs some type of order

Question

A suggestion for 1.63 or any future version. I find that search is basically useless. Searching here provides me with lots of results from 2 years ago. It would be best if there was at least some type of default order, e.g. reverse chronological. I'll have to take a look at search results but think that even a basic back end setting would be useful if there isn't one on the front end.

You make a very good point. In addition to a time-based filter, a filter bound to selected tags would be especially helpful (assuming the questions have been thoroughly tagged). (Here, I'm thinking about "Q2Q version" as a tag value ~~ what was relevant for v1.3 might not still be relevant, or might not be interesting in the context of a given search.)
