Language string with " is different than '? Problems.

Question

To have a tidy language file, which included "text" and 'text quotes' I replaced all " with '.

Problem is, my users reported back that they get Mails with \n inside, text on one line.

Is this a bug? Or is PHP interpreting both differently?

"A single quoted string doesn't have variables within it interpreted but a double quoted string does."
