How to catch the register event and validate given data of the user

Hi guys,

I'm developing a plugin and must verify the data given by the user at registrations and profile updates. Also, I need to abort the changes and registration and give the user a message, what he did wrong.

 

Is there any possibility to do this with a plugin?

The filter_email and filter_handle functions will let you validate user registration details according to your own rules.
