On questions where the answers are split across multiple pages, the canonical tag is wrong for the subsequent pages.

For example: http://www.question2answer.org/qa/8750/now-taking-requests-for-question2answer-1-5?start=12

The canonical URL shows: http://www.question2answer.org/qa/8750/now-taking-requests-for-question2answer-1-5

But it should have the ?start=12 on it, because that is the proper URL for that page.

Similarly for URLs like: http://www.question2answer.org/qa/8750/now-taking-requests-for-question2answer-1-5?show=9027

It should use the start parameter in the URL. This is more difficult I guess, although it should already have calculated which page that question is on in order to show it.

Good catch. If we want SEO juice to flow to pages showing all of the answers, without having too many different URLs, it makes sense to have the canonical URL always be based on the start= parameter. I'll look into this for Q2A 1.5.3.

I really like SEO Stuff like this.

Another thing I just thought of - if the start parameter is not a "round number" - e.g. start=15 when there are 10 answers per page, then it ought to choose the nearest one (start=10 or start=20 in that example).
