qa_tagmetas table: Is this used?

In investigating ways to improve the SEO of Q2A specifically as it relates to tag pages, I noticed that Q2A has a qa_tagmetas table. This could be quite useful, is it used anywhere in Q2A now? If not, what is the purpose of this table? Are there any functions that call this table?

For now this table is there purely for the use of plugins, via the functions in qa-db-metas.php.
