When someone responds to a question email is not sent to the user who created the question?

When  an anonymous user ask a  question and checks the box to send email when someone reply or comment, user is not getting emails if response is done by anonymous user.

If the response is done by registered user it works.

So overall email is not sent when an anonymous user responds to the question.

When testing this, did you use the same browser window to post the question, as well as post the answer/comment? If so Q2A uses a cookie to detect that it's the same user, even though they're not signed in, and doesn't send the notification (since people don't need to be notified of responses they posted themseves).

Anonymous users don't have accounts, so how can they receive email notification?

I haven't checked this, but the email option should be disabled for anonymous question askers
