I've updated Proxy Single Sign-on plugin for v 1.5

 

See the screencast which show the features and architecture of the plug-in. The screencast is for the first version of the plugin, but the user experience and architecture remain the same.

It is really good and useful announcement. However some parts are so generic that i am unable to integrate drupal with Queation2Answer. Can you please guide in this manner. Especially about SSO URL setup, modifying login / logout method to delete/modify cookies. I am not asking without giving a try. I spent 2 days before asking question so please consider that.

I have installed drupal as azeem.com and Q2A as qa.azeem.com and cookie domain is .azeem.com.

Problem is that after giving login information on drupal, i am not redirecting back to Q2A site but staying on drupal as logged in user.

Firstly, very useful plugin. Thank you for the effort.

How does this differ from the OAuth specification (in terms of goal, not implementation)? In fact, why use a home-brewed solution when there are tested and proven solutions such as OAuth? Also, would developers not prefer to implement OAuth instead of a custom SSO service since it severly limits integration with future (potential) systems?

When you turn off the Q2A login system, it show login from SSO-Proxy. But it also removes register option.

Yes, removing the register option is on purpose since the idea is that people register at the main site. I think there's a link to main site in the header. If not, examine the source and you'll be able to add it.
