How do I remove the "comment" button next to every comment?

When there are several comments on a question/answer there is a comment button next to every one. But each one does the exact same function (as far as I can tell - there's no nested comments).

So it's useless having the same thing repeated, how do I remove them? I've searched in the code and can't find where the comments are output.

I found the answer myself eventually - around line 190 of qa-page-question.php is this if clause:
    if ($parent['commentable'])

Removing that entire clause gets rid of the duplicate comment buttons.
