is there an up-to-date plugin to subscribe to a category/tag

Hello,

my question is pretty much the same as : https://www.question2answer.org/qa/2910/how-can-i-subscribe-for-tag-or-category

but all the plugin mentioned above are old and deprecated, are there any new plugin that offer this?
I am surprised it is not already a core feature...

Haven't found any, but it seems the plugin q2a-email-notification from 2014 by amiyasahu still works fine, (tested on: php 8.3, debian 12, q2a version 1.8.8, + Windows Xampp - php8.3, q2a version 1.8.8)...

The version number is hardcoded inside as version 1.0, but it really is 1.2, so ignore the "update" in red in the plugins page.
