Looking at your home page, I'm guessing it's because something on your site's template is outputting the following before any page content:

===

This would interfere with the response to the Ajax voting request.

Do you know where I might be able to find this in my code? I have looked everywhere, and can't seem to find it....

Try using a global search like grep -R (if you're on Unix). If it's not in the QA files, it might be something done by your hosting provider, so you could ask them about it. You can see those === symbols if you view source for your QA page in a web browser. Your voting Ajax responses seem to contain a different prefix - 5b - also very strange.
