Trying to access array offset on value of type null

I have installed the plugin q2a badges

When a user registers on the site for the first time or enters the site after installing the plugin, he encounters the following error. What is the solution to this problem?

Notice: Trying to access array offset on value of type null in C:\wamp64\www\q2a\qa-include\qa-base.php(720) : eval()'d code on line 54

I haven't tested this but it seems this line might be the issue. Instead of checking with:

if(!$user['uid']) {

try using:

if(empty($user)) {
