After graduating from the University of Michigan – Dearborn in 2013 with a degree in Finance, I immediately moved to Chicago and explored various positions and industries over a 5-year period. Mycareer has taken me through leading market research efforts at TransUnion, managing digital products at Cars.com and strategizing the build out of two new business verticals at Conversant Media. During these years, I had the opportunity to understand how an MBA can accelerate your career and more importantly, how crucial it is to choose the right institution. You only get a chance to do your MBA once.
Choosing Michigan Ross was the best career decision I have ever made and was worth every minute. The professors are incredibly passionate about their field and really focus on incorporating our career experiences into each lecture. Every project challenges you to view a problem from a different lens and teaches you how to problem-solve collaboratively. From a career perspective, the Ross Career Development Office is a great resource in helping you prepare for your next career move. As a Ross student, you have access to join Ross clubs, case competitions and networking opportunities. Since the University of Michigan has the largest alumni base in the world, the community is always willing to give you a helping hand. My favorite part of the MBA experience has been meeting classmates from all over the country – they are truly the Leaders and Best. We continuously root for each other’s successes and learn from each other’s perspectives. The connections that we’ve made over 2 years have now developed into life-long friendships.
