Multiple Sitemaps?

Google gives an error messages regarding to my sitemap: Your sitemap exceeded 50.000 URLS.. Is there a solution for this with q & a or should I find a solution for myself?

The built-in xml-sitemap plugin doesn't currently split sitemaps up if they get too long, but you could write a replacement plugin which does :)
