Can I change the log in url

Hi, Id like to change to url for the login link. I think its provided by login.php but Id like to change it via something like the preg_replace method in a theme.php if possible. I want to change it because my site is a Wordpress site and I want to link to a specific page rather than the standard Wordpress login.
