From which file is the logo at the top of the page loaded?

The logo setting is in the admin panel under Layout. You need to upload an image to your site first, then put in the file name in that option.

no I didn't mention it. I mentioned the logo in the tab section at the top of the page.

He may mean the icon of navigation menu links, like the coffee mug icon of "hot" page.

If that's the case, and assuming he's using the Snowflat theme. You can change in the CSS file.
You can inspect elements by Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to know the exact name of the CSS style elements.

For example, the hot icon is ".qa-nav-main-hot .qa-nav-main-link"

Do you mean the browser tab? That’s known as a “favicon”. You can do that with the HTML
<link rel="icon" href="/favicon.png">

You can enter the HTML in Admin > Layout options under “custom HTML in <head>”
