[Bug Report] Single subcategory of a category is not being displayed

Question

Let A be a category, which has several subcategories B and C.

Then A, B and C will correctly be displayed in Q2A categories widget and categories page.

Let D be a category, which has only a single subcategory E.

Then D will be displayed correctly, however E will not be displayed although it is present in the database.

Am I the only one with this behavior or is it a bug in Q2A?

Have you tried in a vanilla Q2A installation?  I mean, without installing any plugin.  It seams to work just okay.  The subcategory appeared after I clicked on the parent category.
