Would it be difficult to implement function hooks?

Question

Event modules are useful only to a point... what would be really useful is Wordpress-style hooks that give us the data before it is processed.  Most obvious would be a posting hook that lets the plugin process the question/answer/comment first, edit it and alternatively decide whether or not to submit it.

Yes, this would be possible using a 'filter' module type or something similar. Be sure to put in a request for it when I'm collecting suggestions for Q2A 1.5!

Yeah I think this would work great for my Tag Synonym plugin too, then it can return an error if the tags are deemed invalid.
