Try to access the RSS Feed:

mysite/?qa=feed/qa.rss

 

and get the following error:

error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document

Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

 

It has been like this since version 1.6.

 

What could be the problem?

Probably you have some extra-characters at the beginning of the page (you should delete them).
