Is there a way to see unread questions & answers since the last visit just like forums?

That had already been asked last month. I had answered quite a different thing as I misunderstood the question but in comments things got clarified. You can take a look at the post here: http://www.question2answer.org/qa/38740

So no, you can't do that from the core and there is no plugin that provides such a feature, as far as I know. However, you can ping Oktay Doğangün (from the linked question) and see if he is actually developing that plugin :)
