Default wysiwyg editor in past and present versions of Q2A

Is there any way to change what seems like a 'default' double line spacing on hitting the return key?

The only way I can achieve such a result. is to  write something in say 'notepad' and then copy/paste it into the editor used here for example?

Any thoughts/help would be so appreciated.

BTW... This doesn't happen when using the markdown editor. So, is there a solution that is easily applied?
