Plugin Update URLs have changed for github hosted plugins!

Question

Just wanted to inform all developers how rely on:

     Plugin Update Check URI: http://...

That github changed the URL for the raw files.

Old:

Plugin Update Check URI: https://raw.github.com/q2apro/q2a-comment-to-answer/master/qa-plugin.php

New:

Plugin Update Check URI: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/q2apro/q2apro-comment-to-answer/master/qa-plugin.php

 

All plugins I know use the raw.github.com. In other words, no user gets notified anymore about updates....

Maybe we should think of another way of dealing with this problem, in case github.com is changing URLs again?

The old URLs redirect to the new ones for me. Have you changed the name of the repo? Because the old one says "q2a-comment-to-answer" yet the new one says "q2apro-comment-to-answer".

This works fine: https://raw.github.com/svivian/q2a-edit-history/master/qa-plugin.php

Still a good idea for people to update anyway, to save extra HTTP requests.
