The beta version of the iFeature Theme for Q2A is now available for download.

This version can be used as a standalone theme for Q2A or as a matching theme to Q2A linked with WordPress.

Fully responsive layout.

The theme scores above average on GTmetrix …

Also available for viewing and comment the next theme under development ... eclipse - fully responsive as a standalone theme for Q2A or as a matching theme to Q2A linked to Wordpress.

Enjoy ...

Hi Monty,

I have tried this theme and also i have added rtl support.

but it has some problem if you check http://yoonhe.com/test  you will find home page and all other pages are okay but when we click on any question then details page have a problem and also admin cp forgot the alignment.

Thanks for taking a look at this theme.   We are not the original authors of the theme - it came from CyberChimps - all we have done is add support for Q2A. Checking back to the CyberChimps website, the original feature list for the theme does not mention rtl support, and the following link ... http://wordpress.org/support/topic/ifeature-50-coming-with-new-code-base requests rtl support but no apparent response has been given.

We will take a look at the code, but our knowledge of rtl support is very limited.

On a more positive note - if you do manage to add rtl support we would be grateful if you could share your fix with this community.

Best wishes  ... Monty and Bex

We see the faults you have already reported, but cannot explain why rtl works on some pages and not on others.

Possible suggestions .....

Try http://cssjanus.commoner.com/ as a quick way to change qa-styles.css to rtl format.

In qa-theme.php try making changes to the header which is set to en-US:

$this->output(
'<!--[if lt IE 7]>',
'<html class="ie ie6 lte9 lte8 lte7" lang="en-US">',
'<![endif]-->',
'<!--[if IE 7]>',
'<html class="ie ie7 lte9 lte8 lte7" lang="en-US">',
'<![endif]-->',
'<!--[if IE 8]>',
'<html class="ie ie8 lte9 lte8" lang="en-US">',
'<![endif]-->',
'<!--[if IE 9]>',
'<html class="ie ie9" lang="en-US">',
'<![endif]-->',
'<!--[if gt IE 9]>',
'<html lang="en-US"> <![endif]-->',
'<!--[if !IE]><!-->',
'<html lang="en-US">',
'<!--<![endif]-->',
'<!-- Powered by Question2Answer - http://www.question2answer.org/ -->'
);

Does this have to change to match the language you use?

Also in qa-styles.css the body selector needs to be changed to include:

body {
direction: rtl;
unicode-bidi: embed;
}

Finally, when I open a question I can see the following 'error message'  [no viewer found for format: markdown] - but do not understand why the styling of the page is missing.  As a suggestion - do you still get the same format error if you disable the wysiwyg editor.

Hope this is helpful ..

@Monty,
yes still i am getting same error. It is not only in RTL version but LTR version too.
I have checked without making any changes to your theme. It is same.
It is working nice on my local server both LTR and TRL. I hope some else will help to find out the error and fix.

Hi

I have looked at your site again and saved a 'correct page' and a 'faulty page' to my computer.  If you look at some of the files in the header and footer you can see that some of the extensions in the faulty page are incorrect.   .css and j.s extensions have been replaced by the .htm extension.

in the header - faulty page saved as rtl1

<link rel="stylesheet" id="bootstrap-style-css" href="rtl1_files/bootstrap_002.htm" type="text/css" media="all">
<link rel="stylesheet" id="bootstrap-responsive-style-css" href="rtl1_files/bootstrap-responsive.htm" type="text/css" media="all">
<link rel="stylesheet" id="cyberchimps_responsive-css" href="rtl1_files/cyberchimps-responsive.htm" type="text/css" media="all">
<link rel="stylesheet" id="core-style-css" href="rtl1_files/core_002.htm" type="text/css" media="all">
<link rel="stylesheet" id="style-css" href="rtl1_files/style.htm" type="text/css" media="all">
<link rel="stylesheet" id="q2a-style-css" href="rtl1_files/qa-styles.htm" type="text/css" media="all">

in the footer - faulty page

<script type="text/javascript" src="rtl1_files/bootstrap.htm"></script>

in the header - correct page saved as rtl2

<link rel="stylesheet" id="bootstrap-style-css" href="rtl2_files/bootstrap.css" type="text/css" media="all">
<link rel="stylesheet" id="bootstrap-responsive-style-css" href="rtl2_files/bootstrap-responsive.css" type="text/css" media="all">
<link rel="stylesheet" id="cyberchimps_responsive-css" href="rtl2_files/cyberchimps-responsive.css" type="text/css" media="all">
<link rel="stylesheet" id="core-style-css" href="rtl2_files/core.css" type="text/css" media="all">
<link rel="stylesheet" id="style-css" href="rtl2_files/style.css" type="text/css" media="all">

in the footer - correct page

<script type="text/javascript" src="rtl2_files/bootstrap.js"></script>

The incorrect extensions are stopping the bootstrap files from running and rendering your page.

Unfortunately I do not know what is causing this to happen on your site.  You say that all works OK on your local server, so I have to assume the fault lies with your main server settings.

hi,
if you check again http://yoonhe.com/test
you will come to know that theme is working perfect. I have attached a new dataabse and it is working but i do not know what conflict is between your themes and my site's database.
I have added rtl in iconic the same problem i am facing with my site. But it is working with new database...there is no problem.

Good to see things are now working.  This site/database has fewer plugins installed.

As you install your plugins check to see if any cause a conflict with the theme.

hi hussain
can you share rtl version?
